In an increasingly rigorous and diverse aged care landscape, Chung Wah Community Care (CWCC) remains committed to upholding professional excellence and delivering high-quality service. On Saturday, 24 May 2025, CWCC held its second quarterly Carer Operations Meeting of the year, attended by over 100 support workers.

The meeting, led by CWCC’s management team, focused on in-depth training and discussion around the new Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards. As a leading provider of community-based care, CWCC prioritises compliance and best practice. In anticipation of regulatory changes, CWCC has proactively introduced mandatory training and refined operational guidelines to ensure every care worker is fully equipped to meet the updated requirements.

To maintain high professional standards, CWCC has established a comprehensive training system requiring all staff to complete core online modules. These cover essential topics such as client safety and privacy, emergency response protocols, and standardised care procedures. “Our tiered training program ensures every support worker completes required coursework and passes formal assessments,” said a senior CWCC manager. “This is fundamental to safeguarding service quality.”

Technology also plays a vital role in enhancing care delivery. During the session, CWCC introduced its upgraded smart work system, designed to enable real-time task tracking, service documentation, and emergency response at the touch of a button. This digital platform enhances both service accuracy and workflow efficiency while also ensuring that every stage of care is traceable, promoting greater transparency across operations.

CWCC also places a strong emphasis on the well-being of its staff. Recognising the high-pressure nature of frontline care, the organisation has partnered with professional counselling providers to offer a confidential, multilingual Employee Assistance Program. “This 24-hour free counselling service supports staff in managing stress and maintaining mental wellness,” said the HR Director.

A key component of the conference was team supervision and two-way feedback. Through scenario discussions and peer sharing, carers were encouraged to support one another and collaborate on practical solutions. This interactive approach fostered a positive team spirit and reinforced CWCC’s values of empathy, trust, and shared responsibility.
