On November 13th, Have a Go Day was held at Burswood Park, and Chung Wah Community Care (CWCC) was excited to be a part of the fun! We had a blast sharing information, offering one-on-one consultations, and showcasing some amazing cultural performances. Plus, there were interactive games that everyone enjoyed! It was a fantastic opportunity for people to learn about positive ageing in a lively and engaging way.

Have a Go Day is part of WA Seniors Week, encouraging seniors to stay active and social. This aligns with CWCC’s goal of promoting positive ageing. CWCC supports seniors through home care services, community hubs, and outdoor activities to help them enjoy their later years.

During the event, CWCC seniors showcased their energy in traditional attire while proudly carrying CWCC’s flag. Their enthusiasm inspired many visitors.

Volunteers from CWCC performed cultural music and dance on the main stage, attracting attention and sparking conversations about the diverse traditions they represent.

A highlight was CWCC’s 40th Anniversary Exhibition, which displayed the organisation’s growth over four decades. Visitors praised CWCC for supporting immigrant communities and its model for positive ageing.

The event also facilitated discussions with government departments and service providers, allowing CWCC to share its expertise and learn from others to improve services for seniors.
