On the morning of March 28th, a beautiful display of community spirit unfolded at the Balcatta Community Hub, where Chung Wah Community Care's (CWCC) CEO Theresa and Board Chairman Esther presented a generous donation to Natasha from Guide Dogs WA.
This donation was the fruit of the Perth Chinese New Year Fair and this year's CWCC Longevity Luncheon, where vibrant cultural activities brought us together for a cause close to our hearts. Through the sale of festive couplets and the lively dragon and lion dances, we raised an impressive $4,672.35, double the amount from our previous contribution to Guide Dogs WA!
A sincere thanks to our seniors and community members whose enthusiasm and participation helped us make this possible. Your kindness not only supports Guide Dogs WA's invaluable work for those with disabilities, illness, or isolation but also embodies the spirit of giving and unity we cherish at CWCC.
Following the donation, our senior friends enjoyed some snuggling time with the adorable guide dogs, creating memories full of warmth and healing.
Let's keep this incredible energy going as we strive to create a more inclusive community. Together, we are making a difference!
