Get ready for a full day of fun, amazement, and harmony!
Every year in November, Western Australia celebrates "WA Seniors Week". This year's festivities are set for 12th to 19th November. The week is dedicated to encouraging the entire community to come together, regardless of age, to celebrate and honour the significant contributions of seniors to WA, showing them deep appreciation and respect.
Of the array of events, the unique "Have A Go Day" on 15th November (Wednesday) at Burswood Park, orchestrated by the Seniors Recreation Council WA (SRCWA), holds a special place. It all started in 1992, and this event has been running for 31 years. Welcoming those aged 50 and above, it attracts more than 15,000 participants and involves 230 organisations. The day is jam-packed with various activities designed to promote an active lifestyle among seniors, encouraging them to embrace new experiences.
Chung Wah Community Care (Chung Wah CC) is a proud supporter of WA Seniors Week. This year, resonating with our theme, "Embrace, Elevate & Flourish", we're keen to extend our services to the mainstream Perth community through our participation in "Have A Go Day". We warmly invite you to experience the event and to join us at booth 68 for some engaging interactions. Let's set a date for 15th November at Burswood Park – looking forward to seeing you there!
