On 4 March 2025, Chung Wah Community Care (CWCC) held its official launch event for Evergreen College at the Willetton Community Hub. Designed to serve culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) community members aged 50 and over, the College provides a welcoming and vibrant social space that promotes active ageing and enhances the sense of belonging among migrant communities.
During the launch, CWCC CEO Theresa Kwok and City of Canning representative Ms Jessika van der Mark delivered heartfelt speeches, expressing their strong support and enthusiasm for the Evergreen College initiative. Guests were then treated to a series of delightful performances by volunteers, including cultural dances, Tai Chi, and instrumental music. A delicious lunch was also provided, giving participants the opportunity to connect, engage and celebrate the new beginning in a joyful atmosphere.
