On the afternoon of October 25, Chung Wah Community Care (CWCC) held a grand opening ceremony at the Chung Wah Association Hall to kick off its 40th-anniversary celebrations, drawing guests from various community sectors.
Western Australia Premier Roger H Cook MLA attended the event, commending CWCC’s outstanding contributions over the past 40 years in advancing services for the Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) community. CWCC CEO Theresa Kwok announced a series of forward-looking initiatives, including the launch of a mobile app to improve service accessibility, new research partnerships with leading universities, and a deepening of collaborations with the government. These initiatives reflect CWCC’s enduring commitment to enriching services for CALD communities and reinforcing cross-sector partnerships to build a more inclusive society.
This launch marks the beginning of CWCC’s 40th-anniversary celebrations, which will continue through next February to recognise and thank community members for their support. Event details are as follows:
