On August 5th and 6th, Chung Wah Community Care (CWCC) held a dynamic team-building event at Wembley Golf Course, centred around the theme "The Future Together." This gathering was a celebration of the remarkable achievements over the past five years, a recognition of the present, and a forward-looking approach to navigating a future filled with change. Through inspiring training sessions, lively entertainment, and heartfelt conversations, CWCC employees strengthened their bonds and shared a renewed sense of purpose.
In her opening remarks, CEO Theresa emphasised the importance of listening to employee feedback, inviting everyone to share their thoughts openly and collaborate to make CWCC a workplace where every individual feels a sense of belonging and accomplishment. She noted, "It is only by truly hearing each employee's voice that we can grow together and face the challenges of the future."
Throughout the event, employees eagerly shared experiences, reflected on their past work, and proposed ideas for future improvements. In-depth discussions explored CWCC's mission, vision, and core values. Employees recognised that their daily work exemplifies CWCC's values—respect, independence, excellence, education, care, and trust. This collective realisation instilled a deep sense of pride and clarity regarding their organisational roles and responsibilities.
Chairwoman Esther introduced the Platinum Rule in her speech, encouraging everyone to treat others as they would like to be treated. This principle was woven into the team-building activities, where tasks were assigned based on individual strengths and preferences, fostering collaboration and mutual respect.
Employees also participated in targeted training sessions to enhance CWCC as a safe, respectful, and professional work environment. These covered essential topics like workplace behaviour and professional relationships, offering practical strategies that deepened their understanding of workplace standards and further honed their professional skills.
As the event drew to a close, each participant committed to personal and professional goals for the future, focusing on how they would continue to grow and contribute to CWCC's success. One employee reflected, "This event has clarified my mission and bolstered my confidence to keep striving forward."
The CWCC team is a vibrant and diverse collective. Through this team-building event, everyone gained a clearer vision of the organisation's future direction and goals. As Theresa aptly said, "Only through listening and collaboration can we create a bright future together." Under the warm sunshine at Wembley Golf Course, every CWCC employee left feeling hopeful and ready to embrace future challenges while continuing to make meaningful contributions to the community.
