At Chung Wah Community Care (CWCC), we’re always ready to help. We’ve recently expanded our support to everyone in the community, not just through aged care, but also by offering practical help for everyday needs. If you need information, help with forms, or guidance with health and government services, we’re here to make things easier and connect you to the right resources.
These initiatives reflect a practical extension of CWCC’s vision to “Build a Better Community for All”, moving beyond direct service delivery to help people connect with broader community support and resources.

In July, CWCC launched a Community Help Desk in Kenwick, offering free assistance to older people, carers, migrants, and other community members who may need support. Residents seeking information about aged care, disability support, healthcare, community programmes, or government applications can receive practical advice, help completing forms, referrals to appropriate services, and personalised guidance. CWCC also provides regular Community Help Desk services at its Bayswater and Willetton locations, with support available in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese to assist residents from different language backgrounds.
CWCC is also helping people get involved in civic life. Before the Census in August, we offered information and help with Census forms at our Balcatta and Willetton Community Hubs. Our multilingual volunteers gave free one-on-one support, making it easier for residents who have language barriers or are new to Australian public services to take part.

Helping people access healthcare is another key part of CWCC’s support. Working with Multicultural Futures, we support the Primary Health Navigation Program for culturally and linguistically diverse communities. Our staff regularly visit the Balcatta Community Hub to help people understand and use primary healthcare services in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, and connect them to the right services when needed.
Whether it’s filling out a government form, asking about healthcare, or finding a community service, these needs might seem different. But they all come down to one main question: when people need help, do they know where to go?

This is how CWCC’s vision to “Build a Better Community for All” is coming to life.
CWCC has deep roots in Western Australia’s multicultural communities. We not only provide our own aged care and community services, but also help people connect with other services by offering trusted information, language support, application help, and referrals. This way, we support anyone in the community who needs a helping hand, no matter their age or background.

CWCC is expanding its role from providing services to also connecting people with the services they need. This is how we’re putting our vision of “Building a Better Community for All” into action.
