On November 30th, Chung Wah Community Care (CWCC) hosted a sensational Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon, marking a highlight of our 40th-anniversary celebrations!

This special event was dedicated to honour the incredible contributions of our volunteers, whose selfless efforts uplift immigrant communities and foster a spirit of togetherness.

The luncheon brought together volunteers from all walks of life, creating an atmosphere of warmth, joy, and camaraderie. As delicious dishes were shared, heartfelt toasts were exchanged, and spontaneous performances lit up the room, we reflected on CWCC’s achievements and the profound impact of our volunteers.

CWCC CEO Theresa Kwok delivered a moving speech: “Our volunteers, many of whom are migrants themselves, deeply understand the challenges of starting anew. Their selfless spirit brings joy to seniors, empowers adaptation, and inspires a cycle of help and gratitude that has fuelled CWCC’s growth for 40 years.”
